DESCRIPTION:
One of the Key competencies within the Revised Curriculum is self-management. For our students to become lifelong learners we need to facilitate their ability to increasingly lead and manage their own learning at school and beyond.
COURSE CONTENT WILL:
Explore the characteristics of self-managing learners;
Identify the features of a self-managing learning environment;
Explore the inclusion of differentiated learning opportunities;
Model processes for developing self-managing learners;
Model a lesson that facilitates students self-managing their learning;
Share exemplars from working classrooms;
Develop learning opportunities for our own classes that promote student self-management.
